Finally, we saw some light of happiness to travel. A big relief to travel deprived individuals.Maldives and India have announced to open up  islands of Maldives for Tourists now. Though we are yet to get detailed information about flight schedules from India, but we hope to get it anytime soon. In the new scenario of COVID19,its essential to know the new rules, Dos and Don'ts thoroughly.

What are the rules for quarantine and Testing on arrival at Maldives?
# Testing is not mandatory for everyone except thermal temperature checks at the port of entry. Though there might be a random PCR testing. This is Voluntary and traveller need not to bear the cost of it.
# Travelers, those who show no symptoms of COVID on arrival, do not have to go through any quarantine . But  any traveller with symptoms will have to go through PCR testing at the airport, if positive ,you will be either quarantined at the designated rooms where you have book accommodation or will be kept at Govt run facilities. If a traveller is from the group, all group members will have to go through testing.
What are the rules for VISA and Accommodation?
# Even though we have visa on arrival for Maldives. Please carry confirmed booking of accommodation at immigration check. you must fill a online  Health Declaration Form and hand over a copy of it at immigration.
( visit imgua.immigration.gov.mv) and provide a emergency contact number.
# You will not be able to stay at Multiple accommodations .You are allowed to stay at one resort only for entire holidays planned.
#Travelers have to download free App "TraceEkee" for better tracing and control by Maldives authorities.
 What are the rules before we leave back from Maldives to have smooth arrival in India?
# You can opt to take PCR test before leaving Maldives so that you need not to get quarantined here in India. If you have any symptom then PCR test would be compulsory before leaving from Maldives.
# Travelers need to inform Maldives tourism, the property they stayed, within 14 days of arriving back if they have developed any symptoms of COVID19.
