Embark a journey to Ajanta and Ellora Caves on this two-day trip from Pune. Explore the architectural masterpieces and also take a brief tour of Aurangabad.  The Ajanta and Ellora Caves, both UNESCO World Heritage sites, are among the largest rock-cut monastery-temple cave complexes in the world. At Ajanta, there are 29 Buddhist cave temples dating from 2nd century BC. Meanwhile, the 34 Hindu, Jain, and Buddhist caves at Ellora date from the 6th century AD.  As a bonus, you'll have time on your first day to explore the city of Aurangabad, with its ancient fort and monuments.

Itinerary

Day 1 : Drive from Pune to Aurangabad which is about 5 hours’ drive approximately.
Today visit places of interest in Aurangabad like Bibi ka Maqbara and Sunheri Mahal.
Check in at your hotel in Aurangabad.
Overnight.

Day 2 : The next day after breakfast you will visit Ajanta caves.
The Ajanta Caves came into existence between 200 BC and 650 AD. Carved into the mountain side the cave temples are known for housing some of the beautiful paintings made with herbal colors that depict the story of Buddhism and the Jatakas. The day well spent finally comes to an end and after the sightseeing.
Ajanta caves are closed on every Monday.
Evening will be free for shopping in Aurangabad.
Overnight

Day 3 : This morning after breakfast, check out from your hotel and  visit Ellora Caves.
These have 34 caves in total. These cave temples feature monuments and sculptures dedicated to various religious sects such as Hinduism, Buddhism and Jainism. The Kailash temple has a magnificent statue of Shiva and the sight of beautiful structure keeps you spellbound.
Ellora Caves are closed on every Tuesday.
Later in the day you will be driven back to Pune.

Payment an be made by Credit/ Debit Card , Net banking, Cheque or DD in favour of " Diverse Inspirations LLP". A Non refundable Advance booking amount of INR5000 is must to book the tour. 100% tour cost to be paid 45 days before commencement of the tour.  For Any booking with in 45 days of tour date, 100% tour cost to be paid. For domestic tours ( within India) if the tour cost is less or equal to INR25000 PP than 100% amount has to be paid for booking the tour. Please go through " Terms and Conditions" given at the bottom of the website.
