Itinerary

Day 1: Drive from Mumbai to Alibaug which is about 3 hours’ drive approximately. Upon arrival in Alibaug you will check in at your hotel. In the proceed to visit the famous Murund Janjira Fort whch is about an hour drive away from Alibaug. The fort can be reached only by boat from Rajapuri jetty, which is about 2 km from Janjira Fort. The boats depart daily towards the fort from 7 AM to 4.45 PM. Janjira Fort is surrounded by the Arabian Sea on all sides and is one of the strongest marine forts of India. The name Janjira is derived from the Arabic word Jazeera which means island. The original structure was built in the 15th century by a Koli chief as defense against pirates and thieves. Later return back to the hotel. Overnight.

Day 2 :  This morning you will be driven from Alibaug to Raigad Fort. The drive will take about 3 hours. This is one of the most popular forts in Maharashtra and also popular places for trekking near Mumbai. This fort is one of the prime places to visit in Maratha history. Earlier called as Rairi, Raigad was initially under the control of Chandrarao More of Jawali and was captured by Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj's in 1656 CE. After taking over the Rairi Fort, Shivaji Maharaj got it completely renovated and renamed it as Raigad (the King's Fort). Shivaji Maharaj made it his capital in 1674 CE when he was crowned as King. The fort was destroyed by the British in 1818 CE after they conquered it.
Later you will be driven to Mahabaleshwar for about two hours. Overnight at the hotel in Mahabaleshwar.

Day 3 :  This morning enjoy a full day tour of Mahabaleshwar. Mahabaleshwar is the source of the Krishna River that flows across Maharashtra, Karnataka, Telangana and Andhra Pradesh. The legendary source of the river is a spout from the mouth of a statue of a cow in Panch Ganga Temple in Old Mahabaleshwar. Four other rivers also flow from here, before they merge into the Krishna; these are Koyana, Venna (Veni), Savitri and Gayatri. Mahabaleshwar attracts hordes of tourists for its lovely views, beautiful landscapes and pleasant temperatures. There are many tourist attractions in Mahabaleshwar like forts, temples, lakes, and many more. Pratapgarh Fort, Venna Lake, Mahabaleshwar Temple, Krishnabai Temple, Lingamala Falls, Tapola, Panchgani are some important tourist spots in Mahabaleshwar. There are several viewpoints that are strategically located to capture the panoramic views created by the majestic Sahyadri Mountains and deep valleys. Arthur's Seat, Wilson Point, Kate's Point, Elephant head Point, Connaught Peak and Bombay Point are popular viewpoints. Mahabaleshwar is famous for cultivation of strawberries and mulberries.

Day 4 : This morning after breakfast, you will be driven back to Mumbai

A Non refundable Advance booking amount of INR5000 is must to book the tour. 100% tour cost to be paid 45 days before commencement of the tour.  For Any booking with in 45 days of tour date, 100% tour cost to be paid. For domestic tours ( within India) if the tour cost is less or equal to INR25000 PP than 100% amount has to be paid for booking the tour.
