Udaipur is located just 260 kms. away from Ahmedabad which is about a 6 hours drive. Just 36 kms away from Udaipur is an authentic palace that dates back to the 16th century. Gogunda Palace is a luxury hotel on the outskirts of Udaipur that has a rich history. It is here that Maharana Pratap was coronated as king in 1572 and it is from here that the Battle of Haldighati was fought in 1576. Drive by your own vehicle to Udaipur. The drive to Udaipur will take about 6 hours from Ahmedabad (260 Kms). Upon arrival in Udaipur, you will check in at the hotel. Rest of the day is at leisure to relax after the long drive. The heritage hotel features an outdoor swimming pool, Heritage Quarter the multi-cuisine restaurant, Bougainvillea Bar by the pool and The Aravalli Terrace from where one can view the mountain range whilst enjoying the beautiful sunset with refreshing drinks. The swimming pool will be operational only according the guidelines as per health protocol notifications of local authorities. Overnight at the hotel.
Today, after a leisurely breakfast at the hotel, explore Udaipur at your own pace by your vehicle. You can explore Udaipur town which is 36 kms away. In Udaipur you can choose to visit Bagore ki Haveli, City Palace, Jagdish Temple and Saheliyon ki Bari. You can also enjoy a boat ride at the famous Lake Pichola. In case you do not wish to go to Udaipur, you can proceed to Eklingji and Nagada Temples (40 Km), Kumbalgarh Fort (60 Kms) or even Ranakpur Jain Temples (55 Kms - Please check visiting hours of Ranakpur Temples before proceeding). Return back to the hotel in the evening. Overnight at the hotel.
This morning after breakfast, check out of your rooms and drive back home.
