Before 1991, both countries were part of Yugoslavia. On June 26, 1991, a mutual recognition agreement was signed by both countries. Diplomatic relations between both countries were established on February 6, 1992.Since May 2004, Slovenia has been a member of the European Union, whereas in 2013 enlargement of the European Union saw Croatia join the European Union as its 28th member state on 1 July 2013.

Arrival in Zagreb. Airport transfer and check-in at hotel. Lunch at hotel. Sightseeing tour around Zagreb will show you all main Zagreb sights: Kaptol (the medieval part of Zagreb), the Franciscan Monastery and the Church of St. Francis from the 13th century. You’ll walk around farmer’s market called Dolac and visit Baroque Church of St. Mary from the 18thcentury. The tour will end in the heart of Zagreb, at Ban Josip Jelacic’s monument on the square called after him. Dinner at one of the authentic restaurants in Zagreb.
After Breakfast. Drive to Plitvice Lakes, magnificent area that consists of 16connected lakes terraces. On old maps it was named as “Devil’s Garden”, and it is a first sight in Balkans that got UNESCO World Heritage status. You will enjoy a 3-hour guided tour that includes a visit to Upper and Lower lakes and lets you contemplate untouched nature. Although swimming is forbidden here, you will see best places for relaxation in this green paradise. Lunch at a local restaurant. Return to Zagreb and free time.Dinner at one of the Indian restaurants in Zagreb.
After Breakfast at the hotel. This morning we proceed on a tour of Bled Lake (approx 1 hour drive). This Alpine lake with its beautiful island (the most photographed sight of Slovenia) has been a world-renowned paradise for centuries, impressing visitors with its natural beauty, wealth of legend, and special powers that helps to restore well-being. We will take a Pletna boat ride to visit the island wherein we will visit the Bled Castle and St. Mary’s Church. Taste a widely known Bled cream cake and rest your soul looking at the picture-postcard in front of you - emerald green mountain lake that is decorated with island and a church in the centre of it, and a medieval castle on a rocky cliff, which reflects in the lake in order to complete this lifelong memory. Lunch at a local restaurant. Late afternoon return to Ljubljana. Free time in the evening. Dinner at one of the authentic restaurants in Ljubljana. Overnight hotel at Ljubljana
