Upon arrival, when you leave the airport terminal please look for your tour guide displaying a signboard with your name. Transfer to your hotel in Colombo. Relax at the hotel. Commence a city tour of Colombo in the afternoon Colombo - A drive through the city will take you to the Fort and Pettah - the commercial area of the city and tree-lined Colombo - 07 Cinnamon Gardens. The Hindu Temple at Sea Street, lined with goldsmith's shops, the Dutch Church at Wolfendhal, dating back to 1749. The Independence Hall, B.M.I.C.H, see the replica of Avukana Buddha, the Independence Square and Gangarama Temple. Overnight stay in Colombo
After breakfast proceed to visit Pinnawala elephant orphanage which is a home to orphaned elephants. See calfs get bottle fed and get bathed , a fine sight to see. Afterwards Continue to Habarana. Habarana, the city where culture, nature and adventure meets. The city considered as a convenient base to the main attractions such as national parks and many UNESCO World heritage sites. Enjoy lunch at local restaurant. Once reach the city , check in to the hotel and relax for sometime. In the evening enjoy game drive at Minneriya National Park. Overnight stay in Habarana / Sigiriya
Today you will set off to visit the world famous 5th Century Sigiriya Rock Fortress, one of the island's most awe-inspiring archaeological attractions. The fortress stands alone in the middle of jungle also known as Lion Rock because of the huge lion that used to stand at the entrance to the fortress. On its summit are the foundations of what was once a great and sumptuous palace and gardens complete with swimming pool. On completion enjoy lunch at local restaurant and then transfer to Polonnaruwa and proceed with sightseeing tour. Polonnaruwa which was the 2nd capital of Sri Lanka - the Capital of Sri Lanka from 11th - 13th Century, contains some splendid and spectacular status. Rankot Vihara and Kiriwehera are well preserved large stupas, and Gal Vihare - a rock shrine, has four Buddha statues, two seated, one standing and one reclining and Parakrama Bahu statue are examples of Sinhalese stone carver. After breakfast you will be collected to go to the yet another marvelous city- Kandy where Sri Lanka’s most sacred attraction, the temple of tooth relic is situated. En-route visit Dambulla Golden cave temple in the evening. A wealth of UNESCO World heritage site’s history goes back to 1st century BC. This complex of five cave’s walls and ceilings are covered with beautiful ancient Buddhist paintings, one of the largest extents of cave paintings found in the world. En-route you will also get the chance to stop at a spice garden to witness how these spices grow and the process of spice making. Enjoy authentic – Sri Lankan cuisine made out of best of Sri Lankan spices at the spice garden. Today we visit Anjaneyar (Hanuman) temple in Ramboda – according to ancient stories this is the place where Rama’s forces gathered to fight against King Ravana followed by a visit to the Tea Factory. Later we proceed to Nuwara Eliya – This dramatic ride will get you chance of viewing some of the magnificent sites of Sri Lanka. Stunning waterfalls, breathtaking views, long tunnels, etc are common sites in this trip . Upon arrival, we visit Seetha Amman Temple – according to legends this place is believed to be the site where Sita was held captive by King Ravana. Later we visit Hakgala Botanical Gardens (Ashok Vatika) – It is said that Demon King Ravana offered this area to Maa Sita as a pleasure garden. Hakgala Botanical Garden is Sri Lanka’s second largest Garden and houses over 10,000 species of plants and famous for diverse species of Orchids and Roses. Overnight stay in Nuwara Eliya
After breakfast, transfer to Tissamaharama. You will visit Buduruwagala along the way, with its stunning Buddha carved into a cliff in the jungle. Then proceed to Yala, Sri Lanka's one of the popular national parks, home to a dizzying array of wildlife and birds. Enjoy lunch at local restaurant. Once reach Yala , set out on a game drive by 4x4 jeep. Yala National Park with a total protected area of about 1300 sq. kms has varying landscapes which consist of scrub plains, jungles, rocky outcrops, fresh water lakes, rivers and beaches. It is one of the best places to see a variety of Sri Lankan wildlife boasting one of the world's densest leopard populations. Yala also has sloth bears, sambar deer, spotted deer, Asian Elephants, wild boar, crocodiles, monkeys, reptiles, buffalos and numerous species of birds Overnight stay in Yala
Enjoy Breakfast at hotel. Transfer to Beruwala via Kitulgala. The lunch will be served at local restaurant in kitulgala. Enjoy white water rafting at Kitulgala River. (Optional) Relax by the beach. Overnight stay in Beruwala/Bentota/Wadduwa
